Hello, lovelies!
As we complete 2017, I thought it would be a wonderful idea to include a fun way of looking towards 2018 by using Numerology - which I find to be a fun and intriguing way of using specific numbers in our lives to provide more knowledge and direction. I also enjoy that by tapping into the lessons and challenges of each of the vibrations the numbers hold, the better that I can overcome what is thrown my way.
We all know that every year, things change. Whether it is a personal transformation that takes place at a mental, physical, emotional or spiritual level, no one can deny that a year can really shift us.
The general type of changes likely to occur are predictable. But sometimes a year comes along that presents new and uncrossed challenges for us to deal with. Personally for me, the last few years have been extremely transformative. I look back at who I was at the beginning of 2017 and I scarcely recognize that person! But not a lot has changed physically - it is the emotional and mental changes that have pushed me through to the vital spiritual lessons of this year.
The personal year number represents certain energies that can be interpreted to reveal the type of changes to expect, as well as the direction that you are headed and lessons to focus on.
Numbers are vibrations.
Just as the planets affect our outer and inner lives, numbers represent vibrations that we sense, whether we are aware of it or not, and respond to with our actions, feelings and thoughts. When the numbers in our lives change - for instance a new address, new uniform number, or new telephone number, these transitions affect us energetically. I can even recall choosing where my house was built so that the address would add up to a specific number, because it felt the best for my family. I am glad I did. Living in our home has brought exactly what I was looking for.
Numerology is not new. In fact, it is something that humans have been studying and using as a form of divination. Numerology is the study of numbers, and the occult manner in which they reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. Each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of value derived from the letters in the name provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie.
Experts in numerology use the numbers to determine the best time for major moves and activities in life. Numerology is used to decide when to invest, when to marry, when to travel, when to change jobs, or relocate. This is why I find numerology such a fascinating and adept subject to tackle easily, even if you aren't too familiar with it.
The numerology personal year number can be used to predict the likely types of changes that will occur every year. Your entire life.
Internal urges shift. Important shifts. Opportunities seem different.
Life is somehow changed.
Depending on what the previous personal year number was, an entire new approach to life might be assumed when the new number kicks in.
When the personal year number changes with the new year, it isn't a sudden break from one number to another. Instead, the yearly change begins a month or two before the new year. Earlier for some, later for others.
As the new personal year energy increases, the previous personal year energy decreases. The new energy gradually becomes stronger and is in full force by mid-January. You can use the blending of the energies as you move into your new personal year and readily use the energies as they shift.
Every new year, the shift in numbers create a vibrational shift, and we all share the influence of this transformation. How you are affected specifically each calendar year by this change in energy is referred to as your Personal Year Number.
Knowing your Personal Year cycles can help you interpret the many changes happening within and around you. It is akin to reading the weather report before planning a trip. This is helpful in evaluating the trend for the coming calendar year.
Varied energies are conducive to different activities and behaviors.
There is a time to act, to wait, to change, to express, to explore or retreat.

A Change, Every Year
The personal year number represents energies that attract certain types of events and circumstances, tending to draw focus to those situations.
When the personal year number changes, the environment and oneself tend to feel different.
Attention shifts. Life potential has a different resonance. Things seem different or seem they could be different. New plans are made.
To find out what kind of changes are likely, first calculate the numerology personal year number. Then read an interpretation of the energies the calculated number brings.
How To Calculate
I will be the first to admit that I am not good at the mathing. Unless it is money-math - then I am all over that, like white on rice. But this formula is super simple and not easy to mess up. So, even if you are uncomfortable with numbers, you more than likely have a Calculator App on your phone who can do this for you (which I totally used #noshame).
Three numbers are used in the calculation:
The day of birth.
The number of the month of birth. (January is number 1, February number 2, and so forth, with December being number 12.)
The year for which the prediction is desired.
Let's assume a birth date of August 8. And a prediction is desired for year 2018. The month number for August is 8. Therefore, write down:
882018
Now, add those numbers together.
During the calculations, we're looking for a single-digit number or 11, 22, or 33.
If, after adding the month, day, and year numbers together, the result is not one of the numbers we're looking for, then add the digits of the result together. Keep doing that until you get one of those numbers.
The personal year calculation for the example date is:
8 + 8 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 8 = 27, 2 + 7 = 9
The calculated numerology personal year number for a June 8 birthday during year 2018 is 9. Calculate your personal year number using the same method.
There's a special consideration for personal year calculations that result in 11, 22, or 33 (which are master numbers). Additional calculations need to be made to see if the personal year number is valid as a master number.
If It's a Master Number: Let's say your birthday is June 15 and you want to know what 2017 holds for you.
So, our numbers are:
6152017
The personal year calculation for the example date is:
6 + 1 + 5 + 2+ 0 + 1 + 7 = 22
Here we have a Master Number of 22.
The personal year number is reduced to a single digit: If it was 11, it becomes 2. If it was 22, it becomes 4. And if it was 33, it becomes 6. So, read interpretations for both of your numbers.
Interpretations
Here are interpretations of the numerology energy represented by each possible personal year number.
Personal Year Number 1 - A New Beginning In Your Life:

The energy has more of a spiritual vibration than the personal year energy of most other years. It is a source of inspiration and illumination, perhaps a channel to the subconscious. A person with this personal year number is likely to be solicited for their insights.
The energy resonates with inspired thinking and originality. Intuitive insight is likely to be augmented, making psychic endeavors easier and feel more natural.

I also like to read the interpretation for the age I will be during that year, and my own personal lessons that my age will bring.
