Card Drawing August 16, 2020

Good day, soul friends! Hope your week was magical!Hope your week was magical! Hoping all is going well in your world. I have been busy and feeling grateful for the moments that allow me to pause. My shop is open, so go check out the options available to get your own personalized reading from me. I also offer fun video readings on Wisio - so check it out!

Today's guidance comes from the The Illustrated Herbriary Oracle and The Illustrated Bestiary Oracle by Maia Toll. She has been working on The Illustrated Crystallary book + oracle and hope to bring a giveaway soon for the book launch of September 1st!

Which set of card(s) do you feel drawn to today?

Left - 1, Middle - 2, or Right - 3...

Focus on the image and chose which cards you feel drawn to before scrolling down.

.........

Did you choose your card, yet?

........

almost there!

If you chose the set of Cards 1:

Black Snake - Grow Your Truth

Black Snake slides in to remind you that growth requires release. She says, "Let go of what no longer serves so you can continue to expand into your truest self."

In order for Black Snake to grow, she must shed her skin. Unlike human skin, snake skin isn't stretchy enough to allow her to expand. So a few times a year, Snake will shed. During these times, a film protects her eyes leaving her temporarily blind and vulnerable.

Growth and change often makes us feel this way, too. Like Snake you may need to nest when you're shedding. You may feel metaphorically blind and unable to make smart decisions. Allow yourself space to feel into your new skin.

Comfrey - What Needs Mending?

Comfrey loves to mend - skin, bones, soil, there's so much to do! Ask what needs mending, and then pause to assess and plan before diving in.

The flipside of mending is breaking. We're trained to appear strong and often feel guilt or shame when we break. But unmaking is as much a part of the cycle as making... and breaking can be incredibly liberating.

What if you knew without a doubt that you could break and be remade?

If you picked the set of Cards 2:

White-Tailed Deer - Pause, Assess, Act

"Step delicately and truly," Deer advises, "trust your intention, intuition, and your ability to move decisively." The first step in taking decisive action is to pause and get the lay of the land.

Trust Deer's medicine to help you make a definitive decision and then step into it with grace. She'll gift you with self-confidence, especially as you move through life's cyclical changes.

While Deer is a prey animal, swift and wily, she is far from helpless. Deer is known for duplicity, deceiving hunters into a false chase. Deers enter dense underbrush then gracefully and quickly pivots running off in a different direction.

How can you, like Deer, use your strengths and your smarts to change the balance of power?

Yarrow - Pocket of Protection

In older times, Yarrow traveled with warriors. Yarrows assist you in keeping your boundaries, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.

Yarrow will create a bubble of protection - a bit of sacred space - within which you can regroup, regenerate, and re-create yourself.

In order for Yarrow to do her job, you have to learn to say one magic word: no. These two letters can be hard to spit out! How does saying no sit with you? Saying no can help you from overextending yourself.

If you selected the set of Cards 3:

Sea Turtle - Find Your Element

On the beaches of her birth, Sea Turtle is frustratingly awkward. She paddles in the slippery sand, which she returns only to lay her eggs. She is a creature of the water, smoothly swimming great distances and frolicking the sun-drenched ocean.

Water is her true home, the place where she is quick and graceful and joyous. If you feel uncomfortable in your natal family or place of origin, call on Sea Turtle to help you find your natural element.

We long to remake our lives out of different stuff than the current fabric in the same way Sea Turtle sloughs off the sandy shore for the joy of the sea. Choose and appreciate every aspect of your life.

Chickweed - Start Fresh

Chickweed sings of bright beginnings, welcoming you to your path. Her tiny, starlike flowers whisper, "It's time!" Not sure you're ready? No worries. Chickweed is renewing energy and life. Wherever you are is a fine place to begin.

What's keeping you from making the changes you crave? See who you are without those burdens. Look for the small lights.

Broaden your field of attention to the tiny microworld around you. This will help train you to pay attention to the subtle currents of not only the world around you but also your own life.

Thank you for participating in my card drawing for today. I hope that you enjoyed it! Did the card(s) you felt drawn to give you some guidance to think about?
