Pope Joan - The Pontiff of Possibilities
The possibilities are limitless, because it's always limitless.
Pope Joan and body is it true that all things are possible. According to popular legend, she was the female pope who reigned for 3 years in the 9th century. She was a brilliant, I highly educated woman who entered the Catholic church in Rome by cross-dressing as a man so she could be with her lover. Intelligent and quick-witted, she rose through the ranks of the church hierarchy and was eventually elected as the Pope.
Three years into her reign, she was in a procession from Saing Peter's to the Laterna on lane once known as Via Sacra (the sacred way.) Her true sex is dramatically revealed in the middle of the sacred way when she gave birth surrounded by a shocked and astounded crowd.
One Legend says that she was killed immediately. And buried on the spot where she had given birth. Another says she lived to do penance for her deception. And her son, who became the bishop of Ostia, had her intoned with honor in his Cathedral when she died. Regardless, her name was removed from the list of popes. And all subsequent Cardinals had to sit on the sedes stercoraria (a throne with a conspicuous hole in the middle of the seat) to get a confirmation of sex before being named as the next Pope.
In the thirteenth century, Jean de Mailly wrote a chronicle that contains the first written mention of this unnamed female pope. This inspired a wildfire Pinterest that spread throughout Europe. To this day, the legend of Pope Joan is widely believed, especially among Christians.
We can so easily get caught beneath the glass ceiling of what we think is possible. But the truth is that everything is possible. It's hard for us to imagine just how much the divine wants for our lives; much more than we could ever hope. Pope Joan reminds us that even if we think that what we want is impossible, it is. Or even better, there's something or so wants for us that will give us more than we can think to ask for.
Pope Joan is assigned to trust in what you believe about yourself. Trust what's within you. Don't rely on what you see around you. Have faith. Know that the circumstances you are currently in our transformed from within. Begin to believe in a vision of your life, cultivate the capacity to see it, to really imagine it with all of your senses, and you will live into the day when it exists as the reality that now surrounds you.
Pope Jones right hand is held in the Papal Blessing, a Christian mudra is benediction. The two fingers that point downward represent crisis dual nature as both fully human and fully Divine. The human ego is limited, and lives beneath the glass ceiling. Joan demonstrates to us though that for the soul, the glass ceiling doesn't even exist. Trust and what the soul knows is possible for you; this is what Joan's wry smile reminds us.

The Cosmic Egg - The Divine Feminine
I hold the universe within me. I am the force of an ever-expanding love.
The cosmic egg is the core symbol of the divine feminine creative force. It is a spiritual motif found in the creation myths of countless cultures and civilizations. It represents a birth, a new beginning, or an expansion of life.
In the Rig Veda, one of the oldest text in any Indo-European language, the cosmos is described as a golden, egg-shaped womb. The entire universe is said to have emerged from it.
In Greek mythology, the Orphic egg hatched the primordial hermaphroditic deity who then created all the gods and goddesses. And in the Christian tradition, Mary Magdalene use the egg to describe how life begins again after death.
In modern cosmology, It is believed that 13 billion years ago the entire mass of the universe was compressed into a gravitational singularity, the so-called cosmic egg. And from that singularity, the universe has expanded ever since to its current state and continues in this moment to expand even further.
Nothing needs to happen. Everything is exactly as it should be. You hold the universe inside of you. All life emerges from within. If you try to exert pressure for something to exist before it's ready, that new life within you won't have the time it needs to fully form.
The cosmic egg is essence of the divine feminine. It is the ultimate symbol of the creative force that exists within each one of us. It's the dark, loving, womb that holds and protects our creative expressions of life.
If we allow it's within us to emerge and divine timing, in kairo's or soul time, then what's within this will transform us. The egg is the trust that what is ours can never be taken from us, so there's no need to answer to ego's push to rush the process, to impress others, or to complete something on someone else's timeline. The egg is the faith that our process is sacred. But even in the midst of what looks like chaos, or delay, or even death, there's a tendril of new life that needs only our trust to eventually take form. And the egg is the knowing that life begins again, after death, from within.

Akhilanda - The Goddess of Never Not Broken
Everything happens for my liberation. I choose to become only more love.
Akhilanda represents the essence of the phoenix; she's a indestructible energy that embraces change. She knows that everything is conspiring to transform her into only more love and light. Akhilanda is an elusive goddess from Hindu mythology. Her full name is Akhilandaeshvari. Ishvari in Sanskrit means "female power" or "goddess," and Akhilanda means "never not broken," so she is the goddess of never not broken. She can never be broken, because she always is. She is embodiment of what we try to avoid - the dissolution of our ego's identity.
Her power is unparalleled. She radiates the poem light enjoy that's the goal of change, transformation, or pain. There is very little written about her; she is meant to be known through experience. She is an intimate, interior goddess that we meet when we are in the darkest moments of grief and heartbreak.
She shows us where our energy is trapped, where we have been stifled and routines or others expectations of us. And she Whispers The Liberation we will experience once we let ourselves break open and allow the new expression of our self to come blazing through. She reminds us that we always have the power to choose to see every event as yet another opportunity to become more light, to become more of the radiant soul we are here to be.
Many of us exert tremendous energy in the effort to not break or fall apart. We resist or grief. Our heartbreak. Or we deny the need to change until the choice no longer feels like it's ours. Something sideswipes us in our ordinary life and shatters who we think we are and how we identify ourselves. Here's what Akhilanda reminds us: Vulnerability is our greatest strength. If we are always broken, we can never break.
Akhilanda is the most intimate and personally powerful goddess because she meets Us in those moments when we can feel most alone, most exposed, and most afraid. She models how to thrive in the midst of change; she uses pain to joyfully and purposefully transform she sees everything as an opportunity to release what isn't serving her. And she knows that being broken isn't a failure, or something we should avoid; it's actually the whole point.
We are here to let our ideas of ourselves go up in flames, so that beneath the ashes, the soft core of who we truly are arises. And so that we remember that it's not the heart that ever breaks; its the ego. The heart only ever expands.
