Hello, soul friends!
Today's review is covering a deck that caught my attention for it's interesting look and I love crystals - so I am always looking for fun crystal decks. I couldn't wait to get my own deck and work with this beauty. yI bought it several years ago and used it for a bit, before deciding it was a better fit for a dear friend of mine (@rememberlove) since it just was right up her alley!
I hope you enjoy my review and generous pictures!
Angel Gemstones Oracle
I purchased this deck at a local shop. I found it to be interesting and thought it would be a nice addition to my collection. I love crystals and am always looking for new crystal decks to use and incorporate in my work, so this was an interesting looking one to add.

My Personal Review
This deck is meant to be used as an Oracle deck, allowing you to devise your own meanings of the cards, as well. The deck seemed like a pretty traditional size for Hay House and their publications, so it is the same size as many of the Doreen Virtue decks.
There was not guidebook included, as the cards have messages on both sides of each of the cards. The cards are beautiful with wonderful additions of crystals, and also an angelic message on the other side. They pose good questions and also advice to keep in mind. They remind me of Grace Cards and other sort of affirmation types of decks by Hay House, with messages on both sides of the cards. It was a deck that I didn't use often enough, so I was not really drawn to a lot of the messages and didn't find it to be quite useful for the type of readings that I do. It was more of an affirmation type of deck for me, but after gifting it to a dear friend of mine, and seeing her use it - I was so happy that it works for her so well. She is a crystal momma, and the deck just flows with her work and how she uses it.
There was no guidebook that was included, which I wasn't too fond of - as I was inexperienced with crystals and their messages. I would have much more enjoyed a wonderful guidebook, with thoughtful and useful information. I love how thorough and gentle the messages are in other Hay House decks, so I found this to be a bit of a disappointment. I did enjoy the lovely messages on the cards, but I would have enjoyed a lot more of an extended message for the cards. This was my first deck and experience with Margaret Ann Lembo, and I found the writing style to be different but also refreshing. It gives interesting information on the crystals and the cards feature good pictures and examples of different crystals used throughout. I enjoyed the interpretation of the crystal's energetic value, but again - would have enjoyed more of an extended meaning. The card stock is not overly thick, shiny, sticky to shuffle, and allow you get a nice bend without cracking the card stock. The finish really helps make the cards shuffle easily without scratching, but some of the cards do stick together when the deck is new. I have noticed with longer use that this happens less. I have yet to notice flaking of the cardstock.
There is no card backs or fronts, as there is text on both sides. One side has an angel name, and the back is a crystal with the information about the crystal and a quick message. Reversals are up to the reader but are really not needed with this deck. The cards are high quality with a shiny, sticky feel that makes shuffling a little less than ideal. Some of the crystals are more interesting looking than others, so there isn't as much consistency with the materials, but I did enjoy the specimen photos. It can be used to read for any client, without upsetting them, or having difficulty to translate cards. There is nothing harsh, garish, or obscene in this deck. So, that would make it a much more versatile deck to use with various clients.
The size of the cards is an average oracle deck size for Hay House, so a typical oracle card that is pretty popular. There was no guidebook included. I liked the simplicity of the messages. The messages are comforting and also bring a lot of understanding to the energies of the crystals, as well as practical use for the crystals.
Overall, I think this was a well-executed deck. I found it to be an easy deck to pick up and also incorporate for any reading. Highly recommend for crystal lovers!
My overall opinion is that this deck is a 3 star choice.
Artwork - 3 stars
Card stock - 3 stars
Ease - 3 stars
Guidebook - N/A
