Hello, soul friends!
Today's review is covering two decks that caught my attention for being a bit different and more modern than other Angel decks around. Plus, I have grown an interest in the Ascended Masters, so getting this deck seemed like an obvious choice. When I saw the Angel Prayers deck, I was very intrigued. I loved the details, color, and overall theme of both decks. I couldn't wait to get my own and work with these beautiful. Both of these decks are wonderfully complimentary, so I decided to do a review on both of these two together, since they are similarly themed and by the same Artist and Author.
I hope you enjoy my review and generous pictures!
Keepers of the Light Oracle
I purchased this deck last year online from Hay House during one of their sales, as I was interested in a newer Ascended Masters deck to use.
Amazon's description of the Keepers of the Light Oracle:
There was a time when goddesses and gods, the Feminine and Masculine Divine, were honored as two halves of a creative whole. Over time, our understanding of that sacred union has become distorted, and the Divine Feminine became feared, disrespected, and almost lost to the world. Again, she rises!
With 40 dramatically illustrated oracle cards and a detailed guidebook to get you started, Goddesses and Sirens invokes the power of the great feminine to offer real guidance, powerful spells and invocations, and limitless inspiration. This powerful deck invites you to rediscover the spirit of the Feminine Divine. Learn to connect and utilize this energy to solve modern problems with the profound creativity, love, strength, and joy of this timeless feminine wisdom.
Angel Prayers Oracle
I received this deck from a Swap group and thought it was a perfect addition to my Keepers of the Light deck. I also really loved Kyle Gray's work so wanted to check out this deck.
Amazon's description of the Angel Prayers Oracle:
Kyle Gray’s Angel Prayers Oracle Cards deck is a powerful spiritual tool that allows you to tap into the profound wisdom and healing support of the angels in a way that will feel real and positive. Using bright, modern imagery together with traditional symbolism, this exciting deck is full of loving messages from the angels, archangels and even the Divine Mother and Divine Father. Each card also offers you a powerful affirmative prayer that will help you to resolve specific situations in your life for the highest good.
Your angels have been with you throughout your life and they understand the challenging situations of your past. They will help you release all that you no longer need so that you can find the peace and harmony you deserve in this present moment. You and your guides will eventually create your own language, and your deck will become your friend and your very own spiritual support system.

My Personal Review
The Angel Prayers oracle deck is a 44 card deck and the Keepers of the Light deck has 44 cards and both are meant to be used as Oracle decks.Oracle cards are just meant to be a little less restrictive than tarot, while allowing you to devise your own meanings of the cards, as well. The dimensions of the decks are 3.8 x 1.2 x 5.2 inches and published by Hay House.
The lift top box is beautiful and thick. It is a traditional size for Hay House and what they usually publish. The artwork throughout the decks just incredible and beautiful. They are bright without being overpowering, there is a beautiful strength in the cards where the figures are powerful and evoke the themes from each of them. The cards have very similar feels and I love the modernized take on the Angels and Ascended Masters.
The card backs are different on each of the decks, but still simple and a nice touch to the gilded edges. Reversals are up to the reader, but not necessary and the guidebooks do not provide a reversed meaning. The card stock is traditional of Hay House - shiny, sticky, and a medium thickness. They are a decent quality with a smooth feel that makes shuffling easy. The Angel Prayers have the card name and a sentence is printed on the front of each card which corresponds to the descriptions in the guidebook. The Keepers of the Light has the Ascended Master's name, keywords, and a sentence that describes the energy - also, it corresponds with the guidebook. There is nothing garish or scary in either of these decks. Ethereal, strong, colorful, and modernized - the deck brings a newness to Angel cards. I love the direction the artist took, as well as the interpretations by Kyle Gray. The card stock is not overly thick, semi-gloss finish, slick to shuffle, and allows you get a nice bend without cracking the card stock. The finish really helps make the cards shuffle easily without sticking or scratching. This isn't my fave card stock as it is a bit too shiny and they can be a bit hard to shuffle at first, but once the cards are worn in a bit, they shuffle well. I prefer a more matte finish for aesthetic reasons, but these are good for long term use.
The size of the cards is a much larger than the average oracle deck size. Hay House cards all have a similar size. The guidebooks are both meaty, and each interpretation gives a lot of information on each of the deities and their stories. It really does lead one to using their intuition and also diving into all of the details in the cards. This may be the easiest decks to pick up for those who are not used to having to rely too heavily on intuition. With practice and an open mind, they can quickly become great resources for tuning in and connecting with these deities and also to connecting to the Angelic realm for younger generations.
The images are clear yet, they convey mystery. It's an interesting effect, that I have not seen in other decks. It is such a beautiful way of connecting with these Angels and Ascended Masters, as well as learning about them. These decks is perfect for those who are exploring other higher vibrational dieties and figures from various cultures to connect with.
There is a beautiful mysterious vibe to a lot of the images, and there is a lot of personality by each of the cards. I find that I can use these decks with any client, as the images are soothing, but also offer amazing and applicable advice.
Here are some extra pictures of these gorgeous creations, side by side:
Overall, I think these are well-executed themed decks. Colorful and powerful, but straight to the point. I highly recommend it!
My overall opinion is that these decks are both a 4.5 star choice.
Artwork - 5 stars
Card stock - 3 stars
Ease - 4 stars
Guidebook - 5 stars
