Today's guidance comes from the Wisdom of Avalon Oracle deck by Colette Baron-Reid.
Which card(s) do you feel drawn to today?
Left - 1, Middle - 2, or Right - 3..
Focus on the image and chose which cards you feel drawn to before scrolling down.
Did you choose your card, yet?
If you chose Card 1:
Death - This marker portends a time of transformation, a total change of attitude, the death of the old. Regardless of how death presents itself, it is a necessary aspect of all things. Always remember the phoenix that rises up out of its own ashes to soar in the wind, renewed, filled with life. Death is the winter of things, part of the cycle of life. When you receive this marker, you are reminded that all things have their season. Take courage, for in surrendering to death, in time you will be blessed with extraordinary new life. Rejoice, for that which dies fertilizes and fortifies the new. Endings always point to fresh beginnings.
If you picked Card 2:
Risk - This marker brings excitement to your path. You cannot know the outcome of the action you're being called to take until you do it. In this way, you're required to be blind in the forest for a time, risking all you know and all you've acquired on your journey for the potential or something better. Perhaps the training you require demands faith in what you cannot experience with your five senses. But reliance on the sixth sense - your intuition - can provide you with another type of sight to aid you in your journey. Very important questions can be answered now: "Is engaging in the situation worth the risk, or does my inner sight tell me to wait until another opportunity comes?" "Am I willing to learn a lesson of defeat in surrender to the promise of unknown potential?" Pray for guidance and ask for a sign. If the answer is yes, take the risk. If no, rest, regroup, and wait on the will of the Divine Mystery. Another Sacred Journey marker may reveal the answer.
If you selected Card 3:
Fear - This marker asks you to identify how fear may be affecting you on this part of your journey. Are you afraid of failure? Perhaps you’re worried about success and the changes it brings, as it pushes you to be all you can be. Are you afraid of losing something you don’t yet have? Is your fear valid? Have you seen actual evidence of adversity and trouble, or are you seeing false evidence, which gives the appearance of being real? Fear is a crippling companion, and indicates a loss of faith and connection to the Divine. Remember that the God/Goddess doesn’t give you anything that you can’t handle. Fear comes from the part of you that identifies with separation, division, and form. To release yourself from it, remember that you are first and foremost an infinite soul. Look through those eyes, and the fear will subside as you remember to trust the way of the Mystery. Don’t struggle with fear. Look inside; see the part of you that is afraid; and send love, light, and compassion inward. This would be a very good time to write an inventory of your fears and their possible solutions. Once on paper, you may find that you’ve been afraid of fear itself. This is an auspicious omen of transformation.
