The Centaur -
The centaur represents communication and learning. Sometimes you need to communicate with people (and creatures) very different from yourself, and in these moments you can find rich learning experiences. Take this as a reminder to stay open-minded and accept others, regardless of difference.
In astrology, the Archer is also the symbol for Sagittarius, and this card comes with the guidance that this is an expansive time of opening up, communicating what we have learned over the last moon cycle, and being open to what we have yet to learn. Chiron is also an important aspect in astrology and allows us to learn where we have our very own achilles heel. What wounds are you meant to heal this lifetime?
It is time to allow healing in our lives from all that has occurred to us. We can not continue to carry these wounds within us forever. We must cleanse and encourage true healing in order to find more forward movement.
Centaur Story:
Most centaurs were brutal, violent creatures known for their drunkenness and lawless behavior, but not all centaurs were savage brutes. One such exception was Chiron, who became a teacher of medicine, music, hunting, and archery. The son of the god Cronos (Saturn), Chiron taught gods and heroes, including Jason, Achilles, Hercules, and Asclepius. Chiron was accidentally wounded by one of Hercules' poisoned arrows. As the son of a god, he would live forever and suffer from the injury forever. Chiron therefore asked Zeus to let him die. Zeus granted his request and placed him in the heavens as a star in the constellation Sagittarius, the archer.

The Shaman -
The Shaman understands s/he has a specific role to play in society - that s/he isn’t simply being a guide to satisfy him or herself. What is your position or function? What is the role you are playing? Connect to your Shaman, a metaphor to understand your abilities, and do so with no regrets. Once you find your role, do it with purpose. You will be a great example and a guide to others to find their own. Understand that the Shaman sacrifices many things to be a Shaman. Being who you really are comes with a price. But finding your calling and doing it with integrity is life-affirming.
The shaman lives his life in ceremony and treats everything with reverence, including the great mystery of death - and the even greater mystery of Life. He works with his spirit helpers, including his ancestral spirits, to help him in his service to his people and to Earth Mother, providing a liaison between the spiritual and physical worlds.
Charged with relieving suffering as one of his priorities, the shaman does so by first always tending to the spiritual wound - the source of all illness. These healing powers have been passed along over the millennia from the ancient ones, who knew the healing and curative powers of Spirit.
Shaman see and feel the intimate connection between all that is, the thread of life, the consciousness, the beauty and the power. We would go to them in order for them to assist us to plug in to this Divine light.
The message today is to get outside and commune with nature. Slow down and really use all of your senses to absorb all that it has to offer. Connect to who you truly are.

Out of Reach -
This card is about the places we can reach only within our minds for they do not exist in the physical realm. Journey into these Shamanic quests or visions, since these deeper states hold the answers to some of the most burning questions you might hold.
Sometimes the heart knows in a way that the concrete mind and memory cannot. We feel something that we cannot quite express. Perhaps others are quick to dismiss it as meaningless whimsy or irrationality, yet that feeling beyond the mind’s capacity to fully perceive is the ancient truth of your greater self reaching through time and space to connect with you.
This oracle speaks to you of the opening up of your higher mind, of the part of your intelligence that can dialogue directly with the forces of divine guidance and creation.
As we get better at listening, the messages come faster and clearer. There is nothing our Higher Selves like more than to communicate with us! They are our guidance, our protection, our GPS system. The options are literally limitless. Checking in is absolutely invaluable, and can be done by taking time in silence and contemplation for larger issues, and a quick check in for the little things in life.
