Hello, soul friends!

My Personal Review
This 40-card deck is meant to be used as a learning tool for astrology. This can in no way be confused for an oracle or Tarot deck, and I didn't feel that I could use it as one, anyway. I wasn't really aware of what to expect with this deck, but kept an open mind. These cards were not practical to use for a reading - more of en educational tool.
The artwork is a dated - it was printed in 2008. It is bright without being overly busy. There is a simplicity to the images and symbols, but stylistically, it is not my fave astrological deck to pop out.
The cards have keywords on the front and the corresponding symbol on the back. It is simple, and I didn't mind that too much. As I am pretty well-versed in astrology, I felt that this would be a beneficial deck for someone who is just starting off and is unfamiliar with certain common astrological symbols, planets, and luminaries.
The size of the cards is quite a bit larger than a traditional tarot card, and the overall product dimensions: 4 x 1.5 x 5.8 inches and Hay House is who publishes the deck.
The card stock is thick, shiny, Hay House card stock. It is card stock that I don't naturally gravitate towards, but a lot of my favorite decks are printed on it, so I just deal with it.
I think that this deck is perfect for an astrology student, or someone who is trying to become more comfortable with it. For me, I felt like this was not something I would just pull out for a reading. I did enjoy the information in the guidebook, as it was pretty well done and has some interesting tidbits that can help someone remember the symbolism easier. I find astrology to be such a vast subject, and this is a good introduction into it, by providing almost like an index card section with keywords, symbolism, and also interesting information in a concise manner. Given that, I will probably pass this deck along to someone who will benefit from it more than I do.
Here are some extra pictures that show the symbols on the backs of the cards and a snippet from the guidebook.
Overall, I found this to be a unique and interesting astrology deck.
My overall opinion is that this deck is a 2.5 star choice.
Artwork - 2 stars
Card stock - 2 stars
Ease - 2 stars
Guidebook - 4 stars
