It has been a year of many endings, destruction, restructuring of the self, and having to reconnect with our basic self and needs. I know it has been an extremely transformative year for me personally, but now as we close out this year, I see the benefit from all of these issues that came up for me. I hope that in retrospect you see why you had to go through certain challenges and obstacles. It is a year to rise up and awaken from the last 9 years of complacency for many of us. As we rise, some of the structures of the past will no longer be good enough. We can no longer stand idly by, awaiting someone to save us. We are the ones who have to get up and get out of our own self-made prisons, step out of limitations, and step into our true divine power.
I decided in early December to do some Oracle and Tarot type of Horoscopes by signs. I am using The Fountain Tarot and Wisdom of the Oracle to provide the guidance to keep in mind. The Fountain - Be
The Fountain exists outside and beyond the cycles of birth, death, time, and form. It is the nameless, changeless, source of which everything is a part. While it may be difficult to see the silver lining that the situation offers, it is available to you. There is no need to rush towards it. It is more important that you tend to your Self care and work through the array of emotions and thoughts, so that the heaviness lifts and clarity is reached. True wisdom will be yours.
The Ten of Swords usually symbolizes a sudden and unexpected failure or disaster, whereby a power beyond your control crushes you without warning or mercy. Sometimes you will be able to alter the course of this impending disaster but most of the time you will simply have to let go and take the hit. This card can also indicate a time when you have been backstabbed or betrayed by someone you thought you could trust. You feel incredibly hurt and shocked by such a betrayal. As such, the Ten of Swords is often associated with feeling the ‘victim’ in a situation.
You may feel powerless as something comes to a crashing and sudden end, and you feel as if you are being attacked or backstabbed by someone else. The conditions brought on by the evolution of the collective, by nature, and by your past experiences may be fated, preordained by Spirit for a greater purpose you cannot understand in this lifetime. It may not be in your cards to understand why certain event occurred, but you can accept the mystery and work with what those events and your current circumstances have to teach you. This is the wisdom contained in the Serenity Prayer. Other people are who they are. You can’t change them. The challenge is to accept them as they are and not try to make them otherwise to suit you. This is a time to look at how you attempt to mold people to fit your view of how they should be so you can remain in the relationship and avoid discomfort. What if who they are, and whatever is happening between you and them in this situation, is perfect from the perspective of Spirit? Now is the time to accept what you cannot change, even if it means that you honor yourself, Spirit, and the other person by moving on. Love unconditionally - for each of us is on our own journey, and we cannot direct that of another. Do your best to not allow yourSelf to be consumed by the fear and uncertainty of stepping into the unknown. Be clear in your heart and mind as to what it is you are desiring to create and why and then stick close to this, as it will be the full that will sustain you forward towards success an through any tribulations. Be wise with your decisions, do not allow illusions and unrealistic ideals to prevent sound choices.
Allow yourself to dream big, yet understand that to reach those dreams you must create strong foundations and consistently tae small steps towards them. The Seven of Cups indicates that the images in your mind must be dealt with not only in your dreams but in the world of reality. Be careful of wishful thinking or illusions in the choices you currently face. If you are constantly caught up in your own dreams, fantasies, and/or fears, we will never be able to move forward and make those dreams a reality or overcome those fears.
Therefore, the Seven of Cups indicates that although dreaming is beautiful and provides inspiration for action, you must at some point abandon your ‘castles in the sky’ and begin to build those castles in your real life. A choice must be made even though the apparent multiplicity of options seems to paralyze you with either fear or excessive anticipation. If you are unable to make a decision because of too many options, it is time to carefully evaluate the pros and cons of each option and make a thoughtful choice.
You also need to be very clear about what it is you are working towards so that you can make the best choice. Make your decision with caution as all is not what it seems to be. Great opportunities may turn out to be major problems later on, while less enticing options may turn out to be golden opportunities.With the Seven of Cups, there is a risk of illusion. This card indicates a decisions to be made; and it is one of “Brain vs Heart” at this time. This card is here and asking us to process our emotions without getting caught up in them. What does that mean exactly? This is not the time to wing it and deliver something half-finished. It's okay to postpone things until you are really ready. It's better to disappoint others now that to WISH you had later.
It might not seem like you have much to start with. Perhaps you feel that all you have is a small, simple choice to make - perhaps you have a song to begin, an email to send, a conversation to start or a sketch to let loose. However small, it is enough to get the ball rolling. Don’t make the mistake of believing that what you need is behind you, lies with another or is yet to appear. You have all that you need to take the next step in your life and from that, all else will flow. And there is a sweetness to that. It is a small pleasure at first, but one from which greater pleasures can unfurl.
Know that even by living your truth, you are healing and inspiring others, and as you do so, you are healing yourself too. Taking time for yourself is necessary right now, creating a little bubble of nurturing and love will do wonders for your self worth and self esteem. Take the time to do the things that you love, and concentrate on taking care of yourself, body, mind and spirit. This is about consistent action in a direction of love and respect. It can be as gentle and loving as it is vigilant. Perseverance and belief is everything.
There is something that you can start to do now in order to get your life back on track. It may be a change in diet or adding some time for exercise or a fitness routine. It may mean making some time each and every day to meditate or do yoga… or both! It may be as simple as re-hydrating your body by mindfully drinking more purified water, allowing your body to rid itself of any toxins that have built up over time. Or it may be letting go of a job you dislike so that you can finally step into your true career or Soul Path, even if you do it in increments. Releasing a partner who is not supporting you, or stepping away from a friend who is constantly competing instead of cheering you on. Whatever it is that must be changed, and no matter how small the change may seem, or whether it needs to be in baby steps, the time to start is now.

What needs to be released in order for you to move forward? Yes, this will require some action on your part, but it’s time. What can you let go of that is no longer serving you? It may be one little belief about yourself, letting go of a victim mentality, relinquishing control of something that you never really had control over. Move through the fear of change and acknowledge it now. Again, what do you need to let go in order to move forward?
Whatever first comes to mind is likely the correct answer, as much as it may cause discomfort for us to consider such a pivotal change, it is absolutely necessary.
