almost there!

If you chose Card 1:

Amaterasu - Self-Esteem

"You are enough. Look to building your self-esteem from the inside out. It's your turn to shine. Be the sunshine in your own life."

Amaterasu is the Sun Goddess of the Shinto faith. She is one of the most loved of the Japanese deities and there is a rich series of myths surrounding her.

Amaterasu lived a peaceful life very much in harmony with the workings of nature, shining brightly amongst her herd of horses and gardens full of silk worms for her weaving. Her brother, Susanowa, however, was much more disruptive and chaotic.

In some versions, Susanowa became jealous of his sister and destroyed the things she held dear. As Amaterasu came upon the gruesome scene, she became so full of grief and hopelessness, that she retreated to a cave. The earth grew cold and barren. The other gods and people pleaded with Amaterasu to come back out. She refused, never wishing to show her face again. Her sister Uzume was the only one who could lure her out of the cave with a mirror. Once she came out, the world became a better place again because of her presence.

Call upon Amaterasu wen you are feeling low in self-esteem and when perhaps you feel like you are not enough. Her very name means "to shine in heaven" and this is what the goddess encourages us to do....shine our own light. Without building true self-esteem, that is from the inside out, a true love of who we are, we always seem to be limited in what we do. The effects of low self-esteem permeate everywhere! When we don't love outsells or only rely on others for out love, we often find it difficult to retain balance, hold boundaries, have a salty body image, be successful and simply enjoy our life to the full. We see the effects particularly in our shying away from positive risk-taking behavior and growth. If our strong healthy self-esteem tips over into arrogance or narcissism, this is not true blanch. n this world that is full of celebrities that are nothing but pretty faces, and are famous just for being famous, it is not surprising that many people believe that self-esteem and self-worth comes from the outside in; from people admiring you. Take the admiring people away and if there is no true slid core of self-worth, there is very little fact, an empty cave.It is time for you to make your real feelings and beliefs known.

This card asks you to reveal who you really are to yourself and others. This may involved having a heart to heart discussion with a loved one or allowing other people to see your true nature. You will be spiritually supported in this process, and the ascended masters will help you to be lovingly honest. As a result of coming out of the closet, your relationships will deepen because you will know that you are loved for who you really are.Let go of judgements about yourself or others. Speak your truth with love. Allow others to get to know the real you. Trust that your authentic self is lovable and likeable. The more authentic you are, the higher the energy and success of all of your projects..

If you were drawn to Card 2:

Aphrodite - Self-Love

"Build your love of self from the inside out. You only fear because you lack self-love and acceptance. Jealousy is unnecessary. Romantic love comes into focus."

Born from a shell and arising from the sea foam near the Greek Island of Cythera, she stepped upon the beach were flowers spring from her footsteps. So lovely was this Goddess that all of Olympus stopped to see. Her mythos is fast and she featured in many stories.

While her role as a Goddess to be called upon to assist with romantic love is well known, her primary lesson is one of self-love. She shows us that we born perfectly lovable and ready to accept our own beautiful selves. She encourages the development of love from the inside out rather than from the outside in. This way, we do not really on anyone to give us our sense of self-worth or self-esteem - we know we are worth it. Without a healthy love of self we reduce our personal power, often falling into petty jealousies, abuses of our body and numbing of our minds. To hunger for a romantic partner to complete us rather than developing our own core self is a path many take, and one that scarcely leads to happiness. Co-dependent relationships are ones that are based on meshing with identities rather than two individual gaining love and support from each other. While we are sold an idea by Hollywood and romance novels that we can never be happy unpartnered, this is far from the truth. Desperate love, one that borders on obsessions, rarely ends well.

Remember, when you embody beauty; accepting and loving yourself, you move away from the negative, low vibrational self talk that limits us in every aspect of our lives. When you shine beauty, peace, harmony and love, you become more and more beautiful, accepting more light into your physical body and thus raising your vibration and consciousness.

It’s time to be beautiful; and have fun with it! You don’t have to be high maintenance, but do what feels right to you to in order to FEEL beautiful. Look in the mirror, into your own eyes, and send love, acceptance and gratitude to every aspect of yourself. You are beautiful.

If you were attracted to Card 3:

The Muses - Inspiration

"Allow yourself to be inspired. Find your own or be your own muse. If you are feeling uninspired, do something you do not normally do. It's time to indulge yourself in music, song, dance, and poetry."

The Muses were the very embodiment of an enjoyable and cultured life in ancient Greece. In a time when entertainment revolved around the spoken word through traditions of poetry and theater, the "Mousa" (Goddesses of Song) were an integral part of life.

Today the term muse often applies to a person, but particularly a person who inspires an artistic endeavor. Fashion designers often choose living muses to inspire collections. Musicians still write songs dedicated to those who inspire them whether it's through love or a breakup. Actors still invoke the Muses and the ancient symbol of the actors mask is part of the symbology of the Muses.

Allow the Muses to sing themselves into your life and inspire you to do better! Muses are not just for creative folk, they are for anyone who wishes to follow an interest or continually grow towards something worthwhile. We all get inspired by someone or something at times and this enthusiastic energy is that of the Muses.

Obsession is the darker side of Muse energy. History is full of descriptions of obsessive love or interest gone wrong, where the magnetism of their muse carries people away. Strong muse energy is always inspiriting and provoking - you just have to ensure that it's an inspiration towards something "healthy".

If there is something that you have been thinking about, or wanting to do; something that gets you out there and even a few steps closer to your dreams, go ahead and take the leap. Just do it! Put yourself out there and get your foot in the door. You will be so glad you did.
